Falwell in Domain Name-Buying FrenzyApril 15, 2002 |
Hypocriteville, VA Skeeter Barnes Reverend Jerry Falwell on-air plugging www.jerryfalwellhasnodick.com pset that the domain name jerryfalwell.com is being used as a parody site to lampoon the words and actions of one of America's best-known televangelists, the Reverend Jerry Falwell is busy these days buying up domain names of his own to prevent any further satire from being posted on the Internet. Already he has purchased such names as jerryfalwellisaloudmouthasshole.com, jerryfalwellatemyballs.com and jerryfalwellsucksdonkeydick.com.
In addition to those names, he has also put money down to prevent such sites as jerryfalwelljerksoffgoats.com, jerryfalwelltakesituptheass.com and jerryfalwellisafuckingignorantshithead.com from becoming highly-visible web pages that might get hundreds of hits a day from well-meaning Christians seeking more information about him.

"I'm snapping those puppies up as fast as I can," Reverend Falwell was quoted as saying. "Right now I've got dozens more waiting in the wings. Just this morning, I sent checks to cover jerryfalwelltonguesmyanus.com, jerryfalwelleatsshitanddies.com, and one that I thought was really disturbing, jerryfalwellswallowshyenaspunk.com."
He went on to lament that "Good Christians everywhere have a right to be spared from this sort of filth. What do you think would happen if some innocent young person got on the Internet and, in trying to find out something about one of my pronouncements that God is going to punish America with a meteor or a severe hurricane because it allows homosexuals and abortionists to live, that young person accidentally clicked on jerryfalwellsuckedafartoutofmyass.com? Why, the whole moral fiber of this great country is at stake."
The most recent domain names purchased by Reverend Falwell have included jerryfalwellisafascistmotherfucker.com, jerryfalwellblowshimself.com, jerryfalwelldrownsinmenstrualjuices.com, and jerryfalwelllikesdaffodils.com.
Asked about that last name, Reverend Falwell explained, "Well, I do like daffodils, especially the yellow and white kind. I thought, since I'm buying a bunch of domain names anyway, why not get one that I like? I mean, have you ever seen how a big bunch of white and yellow daffodils can brighten up a room? I just love them. Them and sweetpeas. Oh, you should see what the room looks like when you get a bunch of white and yellow daffodils and mix in some sweetpeas that are all different colors. It's a glory to God, I'm telling you."
There was no word on whether Reverend Falwell's compatriot Pat Robertson would be purchasing any similar domain names in the near future, though this reporter did discover that an unkown person paid money recently for the rights to use patrobertsonisafuckingdickheadliar.com. Here at the commune, we subscribe to the "one single, perfect, long-stemmed rose" theory of flower arranging, but that's mostly just because we're cheap. Or, as we like to say, "on a budget." Boner Cunningham has never once paid for flowers for anyone in his life. Why should he, when you can always find some growing in someone's yard somewhere?

Hello Secret ValentineOkay, time to fess it up. Who is Boris secret Valentine?
Is Louis? Not thinking so. Louis only give Valentine to hooker and Louis mother.
Is Bagel Red? Still not thinking so. Bagel Red only love money and Sesame Streets.
So who is Valentine? Ah, is secret. From picture Boris think Valentine is small person, like Webster. This is Boris hunch. Secret Valentine is fun game, no?
Yes! Silly question.
Boris is smiling when secret Valentine send "peek-my-boo" cards. How nice to think of Boris! Cards says "Have you seen me?" with picture. Not yet, secret Valentine! But soon?
Speaking when honest, Boris think secret Valentine not so smart. Underneath picture is name, age, and how tall. Woops! Not so good secret when Boris know how tall is Valentine.
But still, who is complaining? Not Boris isn't. No, not that waste of time for Boris. Instead, Boris walking around town to find Valentine very much. Asking all persons who has four feet and six inch if they are Valentine. Is hard work! Not so many persons wanting to hold still for measuring stick. Boris understand, some persons in hurry or already has Valentine.
"But Boris!" is what you are thinking. "Do not you have fiancée person to be Valentine?" No, no, sorry friends. Fiancée person with leopard pants leave Boris goodbye. She go to meet friend John and do magic trick and never come back to Boris. Sad, yes. But as...

She go to meet friend John and do magic trick and never come back to Boris. Sad, yes. But as Louis say there is lots of bitches to go fishing.
And now Boris steps on sunshine because there is secret Valentine! Such happy thing, yes. Valentine in America is much better from Valentine in Homeland. In Homeland, man come to door with gun and yelling "I kill Boris who knock up sister of me!" What shit is that Valentine, no?
No, in Homeland is not romance like America. There is all about marry teenage girl just because she has little Boris in belly. Boring says Boris! In America is all about find love at end of magic movie with beautiful girl who is not talking too much. Yay for America!
So Boris is looking all over for Valentine, at hardware store and down by river. Louis say to look in dressing room at bikini store, lots of womens there. Louis also say look in yellow book for escort service, but Boris think secret Valentine is too small for driving. Maybe with blocks tied on shoes, or small size car which runs on battery. But blocks make it hard for Valentine to go dancing, so Boris think maybe she is not in yellow book. Maybe Boris will check at store for stilts!
Yes, yes. Boris will go to stilt store to buy stilts. Then when secret Valentine sees Boris on stilts, and secret Valentine is on stilts, it will be romance like magic circus movie. Yay for Boris idea! º Last Column: Boguslaw Sadowskiº more columns

Top 29As if I needed another kick in the teeth right now… VH-1 does their top whatever list of all the child stars and I don't even make the top 10.
I was as excited as a dude getting a birthday hummer when I saw the news headlines, "VH-1 Names Coleman No. 1 Child Star." I thought, damn right! It's about time I got the recognition. But it turns out they were talking about that OTHER Coleman, Gary Coleman. And I got no beef with him—he's the Nike of child stars, I'll agree.
If we're just talking about show popularity, Q-rating, that sort of thing, yeah, he's the number one. It's not my fault if my show never reached that kind of popularity—we had lousy writers. Diff'rent Strokes was Shakespeare compared to Who's Your Daddy? Not for any lack of trying on my part. So, what the hell, I'll give it to him.
But not putting me in the top 10 was just plain insulting. It proves once again I've pissed off all the entertainment high order, like the number-picking people at VH-1. How can you keep Clarissa Coleman out of the top 10? Not number 2, they couldn't give me that. Macaulay Culkin… he hasn't even done any big work in years. Neither have I, maybe, but I'm still out there trying. And the Olsen twins… multi-million dollar little harpies. Screw 'em. I'm the real child star. Just because they saved their money they were able to parlay that fortune into video tapes. Yeah, if I were financing my own video tapes and shit...

Just because I blew mine on drugs and toys I get the shaft.
We all know what the real reason is. It's for that interview I did in that German magazine last year, Der Fucht, where I compared VH-1 to M-TV's castrated brother. You have to understand the situation: I was told that article would never appear in English. That's the only reason I did it. Who knew VH-1 read German?
Number 29 they give me. That's just an insult. Why even put me in there at all?
My sister Cassandra suggested maybe they thought the top 10 was Coleman-heavy already, what with Arnold taking the top spot. I suppose that's a reasonable suggestion… but to mess around with the hard truth about child stars just to make it look like there's no Coleman bias… that's as wrong as purposely screwing me out of it because I said VH-1 had no nuts. Nice job, VH-1. I thought you were supposed to be the mature music-lovers' network? Real mature.
They're just mad at me because they know I'm cooking up the biggest comeback plans yet, between my screenplay that's in the works and that new comic book deal I'm working out. I'm not supposed to say anything about it, but I figure there's no harm in telling my legion of fans who keep up through the commune. You're not going to sabotage the deal, right? Plus, I've still got Ho's!, even if they're wanting to cut back my part a little. We shoot a few more episodes in August, and I think we've got a real good chance at coming in to replace whatever crap the WB is playing now. Plus, I'm working on an ultra-secret new show on the WB, which can come in and replace Ho's! when they cancel it once and for all.
So take that, VH-1. Clarissa Coleman isn't so insecure she needs a nutless network like yours to tell me I'm big. And I'm going to be bigger than anyone in that long list, once my comeback is complete. There are many roads to the top of Everest, and I'm taking them all. º Last Column: Be a Child Star This Summerº more columns

Quote of the Day“Upon being stopped by the Customs Officer during my trip to America, he asked: 'Have you anything to declare?' I burst forward, telling him, 'Only my genius!' I was promptly beaten to a piteous pulp and subjected to a humiliating search. Needless to say, they found my weed.”

Barbieshop 2: Back in Bidness
Turns out moviegoers couldn't get enough of last year's surprise hit Barbieshop, though I'm not convinced the studio actually bothered to ask anybody about this. Barbieshop 2: Back in Bidness
Turns out moviegoers couldn't get enough of last year's surprise hit Barbieshop, though I'm not convinced the studio actually bothered to ask anybody about this. Odds are they just saw a blip on the profits graph and reflexively turned their jackals loose making a sequel, hoping to milk all the tits out there who think sequels are better than the originals by definition, like Playstation2 versus Playstation without a number or how the popes keep getting bigger. Regardless of how it was made, the important thing is that it was, and now all the "doll salesmen turned barbers due to a typo at the sign factory" are back for more hair-cutting adventure. It takes a special kind of audience to wonder what a bunch of barbers from one bad movie are doing now, then pay hard-earned money to see that yep, they're still cutting hair. But America has excelled at turning out special audiences since the 1950's, when the government started putting bleach in the water supply. So go have fun.
The Big Bounce
Never has Hollywood T&A been more half-covered than in this latest Elmore Fudd adaptation, bringing the dirty old author's dirty old words to the screen in picture form. Boasting a cast of colors rivaling any box set put together by Crayola, The Big Bounce is awash with reds, yellows, purples and Morgan Freeman. With vibrant colors like these and more cleavage than The Butcher Boy, is this one film on the fast track to win Roland McShyster's coveted award for film excellence, the Rolo? Wrong again, Batman. The Big Bounce does have plenty of check marks in the positive column, and the silhouette of a curvy blonde drawn on its scorecard for sure. But it also stars Owen Wilson, and that guy's nose just creeps me out.
Miracle
What is it about hockey movies that brings out Hollywood's gay side? Of course by that I don't mean homosexual, since gay people don't know what hockey is. I mean gay, like The Mighty Ducks and The Cutting Edge, or Angels in the Outfield and Blade 2. I'm sure there are more hideous hockey-movie examples, like Skate Bait and Puck o' the Irish I could be mentioning, but won't for space considerations. Anyway, add Miracle to that list, and Kurt Russell to the list of people I'm not inviting to my Halloween party this year. Yeah, there really is a list. The real miracle here is that this thing didn't suck a hole in the ground on the way out of the studio, sheesh. Miracle's only redeeming quality is the always-classy Howie Mandel, who's fantastic under eighty-seven layers of makeup as the TV commentator guy who promised that the US Olympic hockey team was such a long shot against the Russians that if they won, he'd eat is hat. Of course they did win, and he ate his hat and got hat cancer. I love that part.
Glad you could make it, America. Actually, I made it, but I'm glad you could read it. Only it just sounds odd when you start out a paragraph saying "Glad you could read it, America." Sounds conceited or something. Weird. |
