This is a gag that appears anytime you see something in a space or futuristic setting. It is sort of an off shoot of the . . . OF THE FUTURE!!! gag. Often the ....IN SPACE is streatched out much like the voiceover announcer would do in "The Muppet Show" skit, "Pigs In Space".
