Talk:Editing the Capper Wiki
An FYI for anyone who uses a caption from CAP.NEOLEO.NET: To get the date and time of more recent captions (2003 and after), you only need to look at the properties of the image, or the source code for the page, because each is coded with alternate text telling the date, time, and venue where it was collected (such as IS or CT). Didn't keep that information on the older ones, sorry. --Indomitus 12:40, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
There should be instructions on adding yourself to the Meet the Cappers page if you aren't already on it. --ReptilianSamurai 12:43, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
I will amend the article to include this. Arch 14:08, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. LOL - I get to be the example. (Although I think you were a little more specific than necessary.) --ReptilianSamurai 14:36, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
I don't like to leave any stone unturned. I wasn't sure of your (and others who may have the same problem of not knowing what to do if they need to add themselves) tech level, so I'm sorry if you perceived any slight. I will go ahead and change it to a generic handle so you don't feel picked on. I assure that wasn't the case. In my quest to help people to the best of my ability, I may come off as condescending. If this is the case, I'm sorry. Nothing could be further from the truth. Anyway, wlecome aboard and have fun! Arch 14:59, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Nah, I was just amused at being an example. I mean that I think if someone is able to use computers to access the wiki in the first place, they would know, for instance, that they would press Enter to make a new line for themselves.--ReptilianSamurai 15:55, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, you'd think that. :) After 15 years in various support roles I can tell you that is not always the case. Best not to leave thigs up to chance . . . :) Arch 16:53, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
