Handle: Dante83

Real Name: Jay

D.O.B.: 03/03/1978

Occupation: I'm a painter. I also hold down the obligatory, mind-dumbing day job.

Marital Status: The boyfriend and I have been together 6 years now.

Kids: I can't even keep a fern alive.

Handle Origin: I was a big fan of the Divine Comedy in college. Then I just tacked on the 83 which has absolutely no significance whatsoever. Though that was the year I started kindergarten and I had a Smurf book-bag. And the smurf was carrying one of those bags on a stick, like the lovable little homeless blue thing it was.

Alternate Handle(s): Just plain old 'Dante.' I've considered dropping the '83' many times, but just can't seem to get myself to do it.

Personal info

In lieu of any shocking tid-bits about me, (which don't exist) I can only think to list some of my preferred capping subjects and try to explain them, if an explanation is needed.

- "Steve" and "Debbie" - The default male and female name. They're just funny.

- Sylvia Plath - Suicidal poets are endlessly funny.

- Brawny - Works with any image of someone wearing plaid.

- "Do you ever think about love?" - For some reason, this comes into my head whenever I see two people working at some kind of industrial job, or alternately, in a lab. It creates a back-and-forth I always like.

- Flinging Crap - Lowest common denominator humor in regard to monkeys? You bet.

- "I never sausage a thing." - Any image of linked meat. I can't help it.

- Buck Malloy - I will never understand where inside my brain this came from, but it comes out whenever I see an image of an old man with a younger man. I can't explain Buck Malloy. Because Buck Malloy doesn't exist. Or is that just what the government wants us to believe?
