Usage
For whenever a Coca-Cola product or logo is prominently displayed onscreen. Can also be modified for any other blatant product placement: Refreshing Taco Bell, Refreshing Toyota, Refreshing Midol, etc.
Origins
While the MST3K writers made frequent stabs at product placement, the gag reached its modern form on Glitter's Cap-Page Board in the "American Idol" galleries. While being tortured by the vocal stylings of various wannabes and should-never-be-allowed-to-bes, the judges would drink from distinctive Coca-Cola glasses with the logo clearly visible for the cameras. Of course, the cappers could not fail to respond to such blatant and frequent shilling, and the rest is history.
