Our latest EP, recorded in the wilds of Minneapolis in January of 2019. This could metastasize, as we recorded a lot more material Sean hasn't been in America often enough to mess with since then, but for now and possibly forever it's an EP, waltzing in on the 20th anniversary of our last EP, An LTN Christmas.

Recorded in a cabin full of snakes, lizards and assorted shit Sean couldn't identify on the Puget Sound. LTN showed up with a handful of songs and jammed out the rest live over three nights to an audience of seals and crooked bats. And despite Sean's concerns expressed in the title track, he was the only one who wasn’t bitten by anything. Success.

23. El Toro

Recorded over the Thanksgiving holiday in a trailer park in South Dakota. Scott showed up with a batch of awesome songs and a new bass, Sean showed up with a story about almost hitting a cow on the drive over. They closed out the album jamming with Scott's stepdad Danny and ruining some of his songs. A historic entry as the first LTN album with overdubs, Sean took the tapes home and spent over a year adding drums and other shwag to give it a full-band feel. Which is the way LTN has done things ever since. The beginning of the radio-friendly LTN era.

LTN's last Minnesota album and final fully-live effort. Back to the middle of nowhere, but this time in a different hall with the universe projected on the walls and ceiling. Strange between-song breaks to stare at the moon. Great slow LTN-jazz jams collapsed on the floor.

38. Time Doesn't Exist

The most fun LTN session ever, and probably still the band's best live album. Rocking in a performance hall full of animal taxidermy in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. This is when Scott started showing up with songs and the band took an unexpected leap forward.
Valley of the Bats (2000)

16. Sheep Fucker*
17. Vonnegut
18. Afterlife
19. Intuition
20. The Thinker

Strangely popular for such a strange album. Probably Tim's best mailed-in tape. And you can't overlook the importance of including a song called "Sheep Fucker" when it comes to tapping into the pop Zeitgeist.
An LTN Christmas (1999)
An LTN Christmas

1. Muppet Show Theme*
2. Finke the Flowman
3. Rudolph
4. Hoe-Down
5. Anticipation
6. Bread & Circuses

This was actually conceived by Scott as a sincere attempt to cover some children's and holiday tunes, but the second they hit "record," the LTN inside took over and they burned the house down, somehow ending the "Muppet Show Theme" with Scott lustily crooning "Oh Piggy, Piggy, Piggy..." Awesome.

19. Facial
20. Unstable
21. Asphyxiation
22. World of Fugitives*
23. Maroon Sea*

Yet another in the long list of challengers for the title of Strangest LTN Album. This one kind of creeps people out with how weird it is. Sean's amp was fucked up and making all sorts of weird noises instead of the notes he was playing, which made for a unique vibe. But you can't go wrong with any album featuring a song called "Turd Bird," and LTN's cover of Jimmy Buffett's "Marguaritaville" is the best ever by a band that was only marginally concerned with actually trying to play "Marguaritaville."

16. Heroic March
17. Millenial Din
18. Sulphur*
19. Nice Nice Nice
20. It's Finished
21. Coda

Easily the most poorly-recorded disc in the LTN catalog, and possibly the least memorable. It does include Scott's great title track, too bad you can't hear it. Kids aspiring to be musicians take note: Don't get high until AFTER you set up the equipment. That's one to grow on from LTN.

Without question LTN's drunkest album, but when you name an album after beer you’re practically obliged to deliver the sloppy rock. There's a strangely transcendent vibe amongst the drunken ramblings, however, and this is where the Sean/Scott post-Alaska LTN vibe started to gel and would later bloom.

Something that no one ever expected to happen, happened: LTN somehow re-formed in Minnesota. Armed with a tape of vocals Tim recorded in his bathroom, and white trash neighbors too high on whippits to care, Scott and Sean embark on the Minnesota leg of the LTN adventure.

45. Crayons

The final Alaskan LTN album. Interrupted a few songs in by a visit from the police over a noise complaint, the album started strong and ended very drunk, and at some point in-between Tim left. The dream sequence is pretty incredible though, and no LTN mix-tape from the era is complete without "Shnozz." After this, LTN called it quits rather than waiting for someone to die first.

37. I Should Have Eaten at Wendy's
38. This is Weird

The creative peak of LTN's Alaska years, in spite of two of the album's best songs being lost when the tape ran out. Basically what Sgt Pepper's would have been if the Beatles had done more drugs. An otherworldly night whose insanity peaked with “Pantera,” after which Sean crawled under a dresser and refused to come out. Without missing a beat, the LTN groupies and neighbor Ed pitched in to complete the album, and hardly anyone noticed the difference.

The longest album ever recorded. If you lined up all the Grateful Dead bootlegs in existence end-to-end, they still wouldn’t be as long as Tres Nipoles. Records indicate Tim even worked a shift at some point in the middle of this album. Though there were many great tunes during the first hour, the album eventually descended into a Holocaust of drunkenness by the third disc, as was starting become the pattern for LTN shows/albums.

Official album #2 had the boys finding their sea legs and what it meant to be LTN. “Butter” was an early hit, and it was around this time that people, attracted by the unexplainable din, began wandering into the performances. Neighbors either became fans and ended up on future albums, or moved out. Tim learned to trust his inner strangeness, Sean learned to play guitar with a drum stick, and Scott learned to rock two notes on the bass like they had never been rocked before.

LTN's first… uhm, album? No one remembers what they thought they were making, they certainly weren’t trying to start a band, and so this recording just sort of happened. Tracks 13-23 were from the band's second performance, when LTN was auditioning to play on the radio. Tim passed out before they could even start playing, after which Scott and Sean completely abandoned all known music theory. Needless to say LTN didn’t get on the radio that week. Unless someone played their commercial for the Writing Center, no one can even remember why they recorded that thing.
